In our film opening we did not use any sound for our production or distribution company which is unconventional. We have chosen not to use any sound because our film genre is urban drama and crime we thought it would be more better to jump right in to the action. Another reason is because we had a good gritty rap sound that was recorded by Antonia which we felt should be played throughout from the beginning.
One examples of an unconventional film is Scary movie
This is an excellent example because the movie wanted to go straight in to the action which is exactly what we have done in our opening and although we have a different genre our intention is the same.
